Red Sox!

Big event last night in the Griesbauer house!

1) We stayed up past 7:30 AND

2) I wore clothes that weren’t made of spandex or lycra of any kind! We were NORMAL PEOPLE! And we did what NORMAL PEOPLE DO! How exciting was that?

We were invited to join our friends Gary and Krissy at a Red Sox game.

Thank You for Being a Friend......

Christmas Training.

Those two words were, and still are enough to send shivers down my spine.

As a swimmer, Christmas Training was some sort of bizarre ritual; a necessary evil. No one knew of its origin. Why did that 7-10 day period have to beat you to within an inch of your life? Why was

For the Record

For the record, I will NOT be racing St. George this weekend.

All is fine, and I am healthy and well and training is going great. The fact is, I never intended to race St. George.

Because of the new rules and races closing their doors on certain dates, I entered a bunch of different races, unsure of what my final race schedule would be.

When I did finally decide on my race schedule, I emailed Ironman to notify them that I would NOT be starting St. George. I guess they didn’t take me off the list.

My bad for adding my name to start lists prematurely, but I felt better safe than sorry. I though I was following protocol correctly by emailing to properly withdraw from races I haven’t intended to race for months now.

Guess not.

Anyway, thank you for the well wishes. And apologies for the false alarm!
